The rain continued throughout the day today. We had a light rain this morning for our walk, and we cut that a little short because of the wind. I got a great workout here in the cottage after our walk, and then got ready for the day. We had a high of about 59 degrees, so coupled with the rain, we had a fun Fall day!
Mom and I decided to "ponderize" D&C 4 this week and we are going to put this one to memory. Mom has been really good about memorizing her Scriptures these past few weeks. I, on the other hand, am falling a little behind.... but the passages are becoming more and more familiar to me, so "ponderizing" really is working. The Gospel messages are so simple and inspiring!
We know that He knows us every time He looks at His Hands, as we read in 1 Nephi 21;14-15. There is joy and happiness in the Scriptures as we read in 2 Nephi 2:25. We know that we will be delivered out of bondage if we turn to Him as we read in Mosiah 7:33. And we know that using proper building materials will help secure a sure foundation and keep us from falling, as we discover in Helaman5:12. Life is good, because we are disciples of Jesus Christ!
I made some more purchases for the dinner we are hosting on Saturday. We have just the dinner rolls to pick up on Friday, and then we should be set. We meet tomorrow morning with our steering committee, before the training meeting, and then I think we might be ready to go!
Mom served today in the Print Shop and I served in the Brickyard. We had to drive today because of the rain, so mom dropped me off and then picked me up at 5:00pm. We had one tour all day, but we did get about 200 bricks made. And we got another 400 bricks "hacked".... We stayed busy and the day went by pretty fast.
That is how our time is going in this life. We have so many things to do and to accomplish! The plain truth is that we must do those things that will be of most worth to us, so that when we get to the end of this mortal life, we will have no regrets. We only have so much time to learn the principles that we need to know as we are transferred from mortality to immortality. Now is the time to prepare, and, no matter where we are in our progress, we can always jump on board and make that our starting point in our Gospel learning.
No need to wish we had done more and wish we had started earlier. No, the important thing is to begin now, wherever we are in our lives, and make the most of the time we have allotted to us. Isn't the Gospel Plan wonderful!
Yes! I love it!❤ I'm so grateful for Jesus and His Gospel! ❤ I love you two!❤
