Today was another work crew assignment for us.  There is a real focus on getting things ready for the winter season.  We are also preparing for the last Trek Leader Training event for this year.  It will be tomorrow, and there are almost 300 trek leaders expected to attend from all around the country.  This will be an opportunity for the trek leaders to gain first hand knowledge of the trek activity for their group that is scheduled to come next year.  

All the missionaries will be involved, at least in part, by having dinner with them tomorrow night. Mom and I will be part of the greeting missionaries when they arrive beginning at 7:00am tomorrow.  Then mom has a school group she will lead around the Homestead beginning at 11:15am.  After that we report for the dinner assignment at 6:00pm. 

For today's assignments, we are detailing the grounds for the visitors.  Mom got the assignment to clean the Fort, and I was on the lawn mowing crew!  Mom' assignment lasted about an hour and a half and then she came and helped out the mowing crew.

But the big news for us tomorrow is that we are so excited to have Ali and Jared and Cody and Maddie and Landon and Kenzie coming for the weekend!!  We are expecting them around 7:00pm, or so, and we will be meeting up with them at our trailer at Missionary Village.  

Mom and I also had the district assignment to clean the Pavilion here at Missionary Village.  Only one other person came and helped us because of conflicting schedules, but this was an easy assignment.  We actually told one couple who had to drive in from the Homestead that the cleaning assignment was covered and not to waste their gas.  

It has been a good day and the month of September has gotten off to a great start!  Mom and I are still getting some great feedback on the Sun Ranch sign we worked on.  It has become a popular picture taking spot for the missionaries!
