It was icy cold this morning so the walk around our 3.5 mile Nauvoo trail was out. Mom and I both worked out here at home this morning. We had our morning devotional and prayers, our individual workouts, and then we each got ready for our day. We left for the Visitors Center at 8:30am for our opening shift. And we did not walk this morning, to our site assignment, because of the extreme cold temperatures that registered in the pre teens.
We did have a few visitors come into the center this morning. All of them were here just for the day. We were able to show several small groups, the movie, "Remembering Nauvoo". But there were no wagon rides until 2:00pm. And we could not talk anyone into staying for the Rendezvous Play, so that play got canceled for tonight. The only activity left for tonight was the Valentines party for the senior missionaries. That started at 8:00pm so that eliminated these two "night owls"....
Our shift ended at 1:15pm this afternoon and we made the 2:00pm temple session. It was a very small session but we enjoyed the time in the temple. We got home at just a little past 4:00pm, and we were in for the night.
These two single sisters, pictured below, are companions on their missions here in Nauvoo. The sister on the left, Sister Joines, received a box of chocolate dipped strawberries for Sherrie's Berries. Her companion, Sister Hardy, was ready to share the treats with her. But mom and I were steadfast and immovable on our treat fast. Not until we are debt free will we have treats! Sometimes, like today, that can be a little challenging to refuse! However, mom's biggest temptation comes when I bake some cookies here and then can't give her the ceremonial first spoonful, (or two), of cookie dough!

We will be strong until we are completely out of debt. It seems attainable some of the time, and so far out of reach at other times. However, mom and I both agreed in the temple this afternoon, that we are getting closer! This will be our year!! Yea!!
