13 July 2018 - Friday

13 July 2018 - Friday

Here we are at the end of another week in the mission field!  Our schedule today called for us to serve at the Visitors' Center from 10:00am until 5:00pm.  Mom and I were excited to have a couple of extra hours this morning.  We both got up at the usual time, and after our morning prayers and scripture reading, we took the three mile walk together.

It is not very often we can do this so we appreciate the opportunity when it comes around.  Mom was especially excited about the sunrise this morning!  I took lots of pictures and picked out some of the best shots;

It almost looks like a fake picture

The sun is almost ready to make an appearance

I saw the sun rays shooting out just before the sun peeked over

This almost looks like a volcano eruption!

Now the sun is rising to the next layer of clouds
I took a dozen pictures, this morning, because the view kept changing in subtle ways.  The morning air was a little chilly, this morning, and there were a few mosquitoes out and about.  However, the sunrise view, coupled with the profound silence along our path, is such an awesome and addicting experience!

Our shift at the Visitors' Center went very well today.  The guests were fewer for what the schedulers expected, but we had some wonderful discussions.  Mom met a couple from Germany and was able to share with each of them a copy of the Book of Mormon, in German.  When mom offered the copy, they were so thankful, and excited, that the lady gave mom a big hug.  The husband was equally appreciative, from his kind words, and the exchange was priceless.

Granny has been such a great missionary as she testifies every day that the Book of Mormon will change lives.  It did for her, and it will for any honest seeking person who will read it and pray about it.  I love seeing her at work!  These two senior missionaries have had a wonderful day!

  1. I love your sunrise pictures and the appreciation you have for that sunrise every morning!❤️
    And I’m so grateful for Granny’s testimony and her willingness to share it! It is so meaningful coming from someone who was converted by reading the Book of Mormon herself. So very neat. Love you two!😘
