This was a unique preparation day for us.  We had the opportunity to help bring the stake group we trekked with yesterday back out from the campground, to the Homestead.  We met them at the campground at about 7:20am.  We left the campground around 9:00am and headed for the Outfitting  at the Homestead.  There they cleaned up their handcarts, and had the final movie, "Remember", shown to them.  After the movie they had a testimony meeting, and then headed back home to Glindive, Montana.  I enjoyed the "shadowing" position I held to learn, in detail, the procedures of the Trek Host.

At about 11:00am, we were done with and completed our service to the trekkers.  We then headed off to do our shopping at Casper, for the remainder of our P-day.  We arrived in Casper at about noon, and shopped at Sam's Club and Wal-Mart.  We then met up with the Gilliland's, and the Reese's, for lunch.  It was in celebration of the Gilliland's 14th wedding anniversary.  We had lunch at the Red Lobster.  I have not eaten there in so many years, but that is where Mom would take Bob for dinner during our daddy/daughter camp outs!  Good times!  And the meal we had today was exceptional. 

What a great place to bring these groups to experience the Spirit of Martin's Cove.  There is really no other place where this opportunity exists to strengthen testimonies through living and learning about the challenging experiences of there precious early pioneers.  Anywhere we walk around our Missionary Village, or Martin's Cove area or the Homestead, one can feel the presence of these faithful early pioneers.  The feelings we have are humbling and fortified from their example.  My appreciation for their sacrifices and their faithfulness grows daily, and is magnified whenever I walk anywhere close to being in their footsteps.
