The forecast called for 100% chance of rain today, and that forecast did not disappoint! It rained all day long and it was a light soaking rain. We were not able to walk to the meetings today so that gave us a few additional minutes to enjoy our morning devotional and prayers.
We have been enjoying our "ponderizing" efforts over the last few months since General Conference. Each time we pick out a new Scripture, we are grateful for the new insights that develop as we review and study them out several times each day. Here is our latest Scripture that we are "ponderizing" this week;
Alma 26:6-7 (Ma and Pa)
6 Yea, they shall not be beaten down by the storm at
the last day; yea, neither shall they be harrowed up by the whirlwinds; but
when the storm cometh they shall be gathered together in their place, that the
storm cannot penetrate to them; yea, neither shall they be driven with fierce
winds whithersoever the enemy listeth to carry them.
7 But behold, they are in the hands of the Lord of the
harvest, and they are his; and he will raise them up at the last day.
Our shift at the Visitors Center started at 2:00pm this afternoon. That gave us three hours after our meetings to have our favorite breakfast for dinner and to take a power nap. That was wonderful and our home was warm and cozy and enhanced by beautiful Christmas music from the Mormon Channel. We got to the Visitors Center a few minutes before 2:00pm and we had no guests for the remainder of the day. The rain continued to fall and that probably had something to do with the lack of visitors!
Tomorrow is our P-day and my chance to get a haircut! We are looking forward to a trip to Quincy and my barber in Carthage. With my barber in Carthage, he is leaving the day after Christmas for Florida for three months. I'm not too excited about that because he has been doing such a great job on my hair!
I love your ponderize scripture! ❤ Maybe with your new barber you'll have to find for the next few months will come a sweet missionary opportunity or some bridge building opportunities!☺ We sure love you and this wonderful Christmas season!❤
