October 10, 2015 - Saturday in Nauvoo

Here we are at the end of another week in Nauvoo.  This week went by pretty fast and now we find ourselves preparing for the Sabbath Day tomorrow.  An early morning devotional and a nice long and invigorating walk began this day.  We continue to marvel at the changing of the colors that so clearly identify Fall!

The beautiful Maple tree just across the street from our house.

And our tree lined path along our walking trail.
It was a cool morning with the temperatures in the lower 40's to begin with.  It did warm up to the mid 60's by the time Rendezvous began and we played to a full house!

Mom and I worked together at the Tim shop today.  We had almost 20 tours today and it was mom's first time in the Tin shop!  Want to see her at work?  Check out these action shots:

In this shot she is playing the game "name that tool"

Here she is fully engaged in the process of making the world's best cereal bowl!
As for me?  Well, mom snapped this action shot;

Let's face it, getting that leg up took some effort!
We had a good day and had to close up the shop right on time at 5:00pm.  Our Rendezvous Play was early tonight at 5:30pm and this is my night for being Editor.  The schedulers have a hard time scheduling the performing cast early on their performance days.  Seems like if you don't perform on that day, and there are three different casts, you would consider moving the performing cast to an early shift to help get everyone there together and on time.  Cast members kept arriving up until 5:30pm tonight.

Never a dull moment for the senior missionaries serving in the Nauvoo Mission!  Thank you for joing us tonight!

  2. Finally a Dad action shot! And then Ali's comment :). Hahahaha! Good times! I'm sure they only schedule you that way so you don't go home and fall asleep and then miss the play. You know those senior missionaries they tend to fall asleep a lot and they need you there to perform!
